Hello and welcome to the first launch of the Twenty Something Minds Book Club. I am super excited to introduce our first book for the lively month of May.
This months book was shortlisted for The Man Booker Prize in 2017. Written by Emily Fridlund and published by Orion Books.
HISTORY OF WOLVES
The debut novel from Emily Fridlund tells the story of fourteen year old Linda, living with her parents in an ex-commune, it’s the coming of age novel that will defy expectations. Shocking and unexpected, we follow the life of a girl longing to be involved, longing to be loved and accepted, to fight the background that she has been given by her parents. Could the family that have moved in across the lake give her that? Patra the woman struggling to be the best mother to Paul and the absent father just begins the secrets that this family hides so well behind the perfect walls of their perfect family cabin.
